This product is a high-efficienct UV radiation absorbing agent, capable of effectively absorbing UV radiation of 270-340 nm wavelength, but it almost does not absorb visible light, particularly applicable to light-colored transparent products. It is well stable to light and heat, not decomposable below 200° C, applicable to paint and various plastic products, particular effective to polyvinyl chloirde, polystyrene, polyurethane, acrylic resin, light-colored transparent furniture, as well as to cosmetics, with the dosage of 0.1-0.5%.

 

1. Benzophenone can be used as a photo initiator in UV-curing applications such as inks, imaging, and clear coatings in the printing industry.
2. Benzophenone prevents ultraviolet (UV) light from damaging scents and colors in products such as perfumes and soaps.
3. It can also be added to the plastic packaging as a UV blocker. Its use allows manufacturers to package the product in clear glass or plastic. Without it, opaque or dark packaging would be required.
 

UV Absorber BP-3 (CAS 131-57-7) is very compatible with plastic optical lens materials, especially for pvc, polyester, crylic acid, resin, polystyrene and so on, and highly effective as an ultraviolet light absorber (UV screen) for these products. It also provides improved stability in cosmetics and perfumes and improves colors in various applications. It has a very broad ultraviolet light (UV) absorption band which extends into the UV-A range.

Storage: UV Absorber BP-3 (CAS 131-57-7) should be stored in a closed system and be kept in a dark place without any light exposure.
